Sumatra GPS Array (SuGAr)
This network of 32 permanent GPS stations installed along the western coast of Sumatra provides data for earthquake monitoring and analysis, especially to improve understanding of interseismic processes and tectonic deformation in the Sunda megathrust.

Laboratory Volcanoes
Selected volcanoes in two countries – Mayon in Luzon, Philippines, and Gede and Salak in West Java, Indonesia – serve as sites for a range of studies designed to improve knowledge about volcanic activity, especially the processes leading to eruptions.
