EOS Director, Prof Kerry Sieh, was the Guest of Honour at the 10th anniversary celebration and award ceremony of the Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF).

This annual competition for secondary and pre-university students is jointly organised by the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the Singapore Science Centre (SCS).

This year’s competition attracted 600 entries and were judged by a panel of several hundred judges drawn from Singapore’s universities, polytechnics and A*STAR research institutes.

The top three winning entries will represent Singapore at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in San Jose, USA, in May 2010. More than 1500 students from 50 countries are expected to attend.
