WOVOdat is a unique comprehensive global database on volcanic unrest aimed at improving eruption forecasts. As we keep the data flowing in, we focus on creating robust online-interface allowing user to efficiently explore and use the database. We have now incorporated about 25% of worldwide monitoring data in WOVOdat, covering 370 volcanoes with more than 650 unrest episodes. In collaboration with the Community Engagement group, we have created a robust online tool allowing users to efficiently explore and use the database. This includes a new face for the WOVOdat webpage. We have also solicited the international community to accelerate data collection, taught workshops on how to use the database, and have started exploring application tools by which WOVOdat can be used for Probabilistic eruption forecasting. In FY2016, we plan to develop a “Restless Volcano Module” and showing applications of WOVOdat through research papers, to encourage the international community to contribute data.
